Five of us turned up for this weeks ride, Myself, Graham Black, Andy`s Easton & Prideaux,Neil Crowley. We waited till around 10.15 to see if anyone else would turn up from Plympton then set off on country lanes towards Ludbrook house. Continuing on this theme I took them on a round about route taking in, North Huish, Avonwick, Marley Head, skirting Harbourneford to Deancombe and then on to Buckfast Abbey, to be greated by load bell ringing.
On the way Graham had 2 punctures with Neil assisting as backup crew, after our tea, coffee & cakes we came out to Grahams front tyre flat again for his 3rd puncture. With Neil repairing his inner tube, Andy inspected his Tyre to find particles of glass inbeded in it, with these dug out Graham had a incident free ride.
From the Abbey we took the main Totnes road for a while before turning up Green Lane to climb up to Higher Beara Cross and then along the lanes to Riverford Farm shop, a new coffee stop for us. We then headed for Rattery, South Brent and back to Ivybridge where I said my goodbyes.
We had a lovely sunny day with the odd threatening black cloud and I clocked up 39.5miles, also we had a ear pounding for the whole way from Andy Easten. In fact I`m thinking of applying for "Mastermind" with my specialized subject , " Andy Easten`s, Teeth, Dentist & his Cat " as I now have a knowledge of all three.
Sorry Andy we love you really but to much information
