We were due to meet at the Topoint Ferry for a 10 a.m. start and just as I was leaving home at 9.30 I took a call from Graham R who was already at the start eagerly awaiting the ride! Seven of us caught the next ferry: Graham R of course, Graham B who was surprised Graham J hadn't turned out, Jean, George, Mike and Andy P fresh from his holiday in Oz.

We rode along to Polbathic and turned off for St Germans and then on to tea-break at Treulefoot. We were not long there when Graham J joined us.  From there two turned back; Mike and Andy. We then wended our way towards Menheniot and sat in the porch of the church named St. Lalluwy (who knows how thats pronounced?!) and St Antonios to eat our lunch. Graham R ventured inside but the temperature was markedly colder inside than out and he quickly rejoined us!  From there we continued our anti-clockwise loop back to Torpoint. We'd had one light shower before lunch and then not long after lunch another, so when we were passing through Hessenford we debated whether we should stop for tea in the Copley Arms or push on home now it was dry and before the light faded for the evening. As you'd expect George couldn't pass on a cuppa and so GB decided to keep him company. George has the homing instincts of a pigeon and we were on a familiar route so I wasn't worried about leaving them behind! By the time we boarded the ferry we needed our lights and from there we took our respective routes home. I had 44 miles in all from door to door and arrived home by 4.45 and ready for a cuppa!
