On a second sunny Sunday in a row Jean, George, Mike, and myself welcomed two guest riders for a day with us; Susann and Bruce. Susann I met a few years ago cycling with another group. After the formalities, we set off for tea at Wrangaton, when Andy hastened around the corner - late as usual! We kept up a good pace to Wrangaton. Not long after we settled there Graham R rolled up and then we had a further visitor Bob arriving by car to catch up with us. So for break our numbers had swelled to nine! However as is quite normal not everyone stays out for the entire ride and (Bob of course), Jean, Mike and even George had other plans. We followed a fairly simple route to Bigbury arriving there in good time for an early lunch. Susann and Bruce went off to find a cafe for a sandwich whilst the rest of our group sat on the benches overlooking a huge expanse of beach to eat ours, joining them for a cuppa before setting off along the track in the direction of Challaborough through Orcheton, back onto the main A379 for a few miles before turning off shortly before Yealmpton passing Efford House and back to Plympton. Susann, Bruce and I had a quick chat back at Plymco before parting company. I set off for home along the Parkway track and bumped into Graham R again, on his way to tend Graham J's allotment. I was home by 3.50 - quite early for us, having enjoyed two quite relaxed breaks and travelled just over 43 miles. And for those of you who like even more statistics my GPS shows total ascent of 4280' and total descent of 4258'.
