What is the collective noun or term for a number of CTC riders who get together for a Sunday ride? is it a; Flock,Swarm,Murmurations,Horde,Herd,Gaggle, anyway 4 of us turned up at " The Bridge " for Graham Blacks ride , Myself, Andy Prideaux & Mike Willacy. We set off following our leader and dodging the traffic towards Hatt, then onto the quiet Cornish lanes to Pensilva via Pillaton and St Ive in lovely sunny weather. When we arrived in Pensilva we decided to stop for coffee in the community center where there was a christmas fair going on. so we where surrounded by christmas decorations and mince pies with christmas crackers on our table. Here our perpetual handyman/DIY expert Mike Willacy decided he had to head back to his numerous to do jobs back home. I think he only turned up to see if anyone had any spare, Isopon or P38 filler to help fill the holes in on his car wheel arch and chassis, his latest project. Graham lead the rest of the flock, two of us, on towards Minions and then Siblyback. We arrived at a deserted Siblyback and just got in the cafe as the heavens opened up, good timing Graham. Here we sat having lunch admiring the view and waiting for some nasty black clouds to disapear before heading back. Having completed the circum navigation of Caradon hill, we turned right and headed towards Crows Nest and the the Cornish lanes and small hillocks beyond, ( you only get proper hills in the South Hams ) and we where back at Hatt in no time. Then it was dodging the traffic again on to Tamar bridge. Graham lead us on a interesting ride with mostly sunny skies and we where luckly only the odd drop of rain, and a great time was had by all three of us.

Note; I`ve included some pictures of the beatiful scenery and sights you all missed, plus one of dinghy racing on Siblyback. Hope to see more of you for Andy`s ride next Sunday

Thanks for your write-up, Trevor, and glad you had a good day out. Obviously enthusiasm for the ride is more important than mere numbers. In fact, judging by the last three pictures it looks as if you even made a detour via Japan before returning to Devon for tea-time. Wow!
