It was a bright sunny autumn day that we enjoyed cycling up to Knightstone, Bryan R joined us there in his car, the weather was so good for the time of year, we decided to sit outside to have our tea. Julie, Graham J, George, Yolande and myself and now joined by Les and Larry continued along the Drake trail to Tavistock for lunch in the Park. Afterwards we parted company with Les and Larry and for the remaining riders the best was yet to come. The planned route took us up to Samford Spiney, by the time I arrived there Yolande was already getting some information from two ladies in a van with Party puppet company on the side. The info received changed the planned route to take us up a dead end lane on to the moor and then along a bridle path which joined the old railway line to Princetown. We then took the opposite way towards Burrator Reservoir, thank you Yolande for the sound effects as we slide our way down the muddy track. then we joined cycle route 23 taking the us back to Plymouth arriving in the dark,it was a good full enjoyable day covering 40 miles approx’.
