Leader Graham with
Trevor, David, Andy, Rob & Brenda Jim.
It was a crisp day at the Torpoint ferry, and it was good to see other groups of cyclists out to enjoy the day. Still early, I took the main road to Sheviock then the dog leg to Tredis and Narkurs, then the steep descent into Seaton. This was the first stop of the day, and we sat outside in the sunshine and where Brenda presented us all with a cyclist motif handmade covid mask. Thank you, Brenda.
Then afterwards it was a steep climb ascent towards the Monkey Sanctuary No Man's Land, we then continued via the Arial mast and the golf club on to the A38. Taking care to cross the busy road, it was then a short ride along the road and then left up narrow lanes to the underpass passing Haslyn mill, where I have happy memories of the place when it was a cafe.
Now back on the south side of the main road, it was not far to the Elliot Pub in St Germans, where this time we sat outside under a budget tented area. The Landlord reckons he picked it up cheap, Trevor ribbed him saying no wonder it was cheap, we are getting soaked here it's leaking, but he blamed it on condensation.
After the second stop of the day, it was now back to the ferry and after another good day with good company.
35 miles covered and with some more for Andy, who had ridden in from Plympton, well done.
