November 16th, 2014. Seaton and beyond - Graham Black
I gave myself a head start by heading up the back lane to Noman's Land. Although I'm the slowest of the bunch, the delays are hardly significant in a non-racing context. All the same ...
It was a while before Dave Newman joined me and still longer before the others came along. Graham Reed had decided to return to Plymouth, having already visited Seaton "many, many times" before. Dave headed back to Saltash while Graham Black, Andy Easton, Trevor and I went down Barebican Lane (a 1:4) into Looe and then to Duloe. We crossed the bridge on the lower road and hauled up the steep hill to Trewidland and thence to Horning Tops. The ride along the A38 to Trerulefoot was a welcome contrast to the rough lanes. We arrived at the Edinburgh Wool Mill at 2.20 pm. I was surprised how early it was. I led the route back to Saltash Bridge, somehow managing to loose Andy Easton on the way, who had turned off, as I established by a quick phone call, to St German's.
Graham Black and Trevor left me at Hatt to make their own way back to Torpoint and I returned via the Tamar Bridge just before dark with a cool 46 miles on the clock.
