Plymotion is a scheme that aims to make it easier for you to get around Plymouth by bus, by bike and on foot.
Plymotion is offering various incentives to encourage you to try greener, cheaper and healthier ways of getting from A to B,
Plymotion was launched four years ago in 2012 to introduce new walking and cycling links connecting the east and west of the city, including the restoration of the former Laira Railway Bridge.
In the last three years we have completed a network of walking and cycling routes in Devonport, Stonehouse and Stoke, improved the Finnigan Road junction, completed the route from Plymouth train station to Exeter Street, delivered Personalised Travel Planning to more than 65,000 households and hosted three Skyride City events and Sky Ride Local programmes in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The Plymotion bus service, the service 14, is also up and running.
Plymouth City Council in partnership with Sky and British Cycling are hosting weekly group cycling activities throughout the summer.
Sky Ride Local rides are tailored for specific cycling abilities and are led by a British Cycling trained ride leader.
Whether you're looking for a leisurely off-road family ride or a challenging ride uphill there is something for everyone. They range from two miles up to 23 miles taking from 30 minutes up to two hours.
