Here we said our goodbye`s to Mike who was going to take the main road back to South Brent, and thanked him for joining us and hoped to meet again. Graham said Jean Harris had invited us round for coffee at her new house in Totnes, so we set off to find her house, Graham was a bit vague about its location but when he said it was a new build and we where in the general area I remember looking at some around there to buy so I took him staight there and after a phone call to Jean for its location on the estate we arrived at her front door. Greated by Jean & John she got the coffee on. Her address is Paradise Walk which was next to a new cycle path up from Steamer quay, and it is Paradise for John as just down the cycle path is the Rowing club Johns passion.
After a good chat and coffee we set off again in unexpected sunshine to join the cycle path to Dartington. On joining the road which lead up to Dartington Hall I took a new route through the woods up to Huxhams Cross estate and through North wood to join the road at Staverton bridge. We then turned left at the station and on to Riverside farm shop for more refreshment and fruit scones. The next stage was to join the main A384 then through the traffic lights and over the bridge to join the cycle path up to the Rattery road. It was then a well cycled route through Rattery, South Brent and back to Ivybidge Railway station.
Here I said my fairwell to Andy & Graham we had timed it just about right as the steady rain/drizzle had started to arrive, we had the strong winds to battle from Staverton but all in all it was a good day with some sunshine and only a couple off light showers. You don`t no what you missed,so get out off bed on Sunday mornings and join our lovely rides.
See you soon Trevor
