Welcome to the Plymouth Section of the CTC.
Help Tina raise £1600 for cancer support.
The Siani Sisters, Tina and Santella are getting on their bikes and taking positive action in the fight against breast, ovarian and cervical cancers.
They will be challenging themselves as part of a women only team of cyclist riding from London to Paris to support the works of three charities: Breast Cancer Care, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.
The sister's need to raise a minimum of £1600 each to support the work of the Women V Cancer charities - will you help?

About Plymouth CTC
<Link to latest section run>
CTC Plymouth aims to provide interesting and challenging routes for cyclists in the Plymouth area and operate two Sunday rides. We are a group of like-minded friends who place conviviality above attracting a large membership. Currently, with about ten regular members, we consider attraction rather than promotion to be the best approach to recruitment. If you enjoy cycling and would like to experience our unique and friendly approach, you can be sure of a sincere welcome. No need for formalities - follow our runs list and just turn up at the start when you want. We'll be happy to see you!
Group "A" rides about 40-60 miles averaging about 11 mph. Most suited for experienced riders who enjoy a moderate challenge. Distances and speed vary according to terrain and time of year.
Group "B" - informal rides from Plympton Co-op (Ridgeway) of 20-25 miles. Ideal for beginners or experienced cyclists wanting social rides with shorter distances and a slower pace.
Sunday runs generally start at 9.30am and finish about 4.00pm. In the winter rides may start later, and in the summer may finish later as the lighter evenings allow. You will need to consult this website for an up-to-minute account.
Throughout the year we aim to provide a full programme of rides, events and activities.
We are always happy to welcome visitors. If you like what we do and want to stay, we normally ask you to become a member of the CTC after three runs. CTC membership runs at £43 per year currently (less for the over-65s or those on low incomes ) and provides a number of benefits:
Recommendation by one of our newest members:
" ... I did enjoy the cycle route that Trevor took us to on Sunday and the scenery around the South Hams along the Dart Valley Trail looking down at the river Dart was truly enjoyable and not to be missed.
A few weeks back Trevor has been encouraging me to take up this Cycle Touring activity which I must say I never considered doing before, too many hills, I would say, but after a number of outings with him and discovering so many areas that I have never seen before helped change my mind. My main concern was - am I fit enough to join a cycle group. On returning back to Ivybridge on Sunday, I did ask the group if I had passed the test OK and they all said 'no problem' and now that you have sent me the CTC joining details has now given me a little more confidence. So now I have enlisted."
